Why am I writing now?

January 25, 2025

From time to time, I feel the desire to write, but I usually lack the courage to follow through. I often think I don’t have much smart or original to say, and I constantly wonder if my opinions are worth sharing.

“Your seminar work has many new things and many right things,” says the professor in the movie Side Note. “The problem is: the right things are not new, and the new things are not right.” I’ve always been afraid of writing something that is neither right nor new.

So why now? Over the past few months, I’ve taken a break from working a daily job and spent time reflecting on my career and what I truly want to do. I’ve gone through job interviews and worked on side projects, which revealed both the weak points in my knowledge and the unique perspectives I bring. While trying to learn and improve, I decided to use writing as a way to deepen my understanding and share my opinions—whether they are inaccurate, well-known, or perhaps even both.

So, welcome to my journey. It might be boring, but I’ll do my best to make it worth your time.
